生き生きした動物達と、季節の植物がモチーフ
生き生きした動物達と、季節の植物のモチーフが躍る佐々木忍さんのドラ鉢シリーズ。
“秋”は、茶色のリスと葡萄の図柄。深みのあるマロンと、グレーがかったベージュの落ち着いた色合いです。 佐々木さんらしい、動物への観察眼や、細やかな手仕事が、生き生きした作品を生み出します。
四季のドラ鉢は、お揃いの湯呑もご用意がございます。ワイス・ワイス トゥールス別注のデザインです。
These are “dora-bachi” (rimmed bowls inspired by Chinese gong called “dora”) of “autumn”, one of the four-season series by SASAKI Shinobu, a female potter.
The surface of a “autumn” dora-bachi is adorned with brown squirrels and grapes on the dark red or grayish beige background.
Shinobu’s lively works reflect her excellent observant eyes on small animals with great handwork skills.
Dora-bachi have matching “yunomi” (handle-less teacup) by season.
Designs of all these items are exclusively for WISE-WISE tools.

ピンと立った耳やフサフサの尻尾など、毛並みまで緻密に再現された生き生きしたリス。
釉薬の濃淡にも手仕事の温かみを感じます。
Shinobu has finely reproduced the details of the squirrels down to their arrect ears and bushy tails.
Different shades of color given by glaze emanate something warm which is only caused by handwork.

秋になると実が熟し、黄緑色から紫へと変わる葡萄。
器の色は、パッと目を惹く紅色に近い深みのあるマロンと、グレーがかった落ち着いたベージュの2色展開。 どちらも魅力的で、お互いを引き立てあう組み合わせなので迷ってしまいます。
Grapes ripen in autumn, the color changes from lime green to purple.
There are two background color choices: eye-catching dark red and grayish beige. Combination of the two colors complement each other very well.

小さなお子さんがいらっしゃる佐々木さん。
お子さんが幼稚園に入るのを機に、作陶を精力的に始められました。ドラ鉢も、元々は子供用の食器として使っていらしたそう。
WISE・WISE toolsでロングセラーとなっている、おめでたい富士山モチーフの器や、お正月にぴったりな干支の器、ユーモアあふれる酒器に続き、新しい季節の器シリーズが登場しました。
Shinobu has a small child. Her career as a professional potter started when the child entered kindergarten. Dora-bachi were originally used for the child.
Dora-bachi and yunomi are Shinobu’s new seasonal series, following the long-selling works with a motif of Mt. Fuji, the Japanese zodiac items for New Year, and sake drinking vessels.
