生き生きした動物達と、季節の植物がモチーフ
生き生きした動物達と、季節の植物のモチーフが躍る佐々木忍さんの湯呑。
“夏”は、茶色のうさぎとジャスミンの花の図柄。淡い紫色の落ち着いた色合いです。
佐々木さんらしい、動物への観察眼や、細やかな手仕事が、生き生きした作品を生み出します。
四季の湯呑は、お揃いのドラ鉢もご用意がございます。

These are yunomi (handleless mugs) of “summer”, one of the four-season series by SASAKI Shinobu, a female potter.
The inside of a “summer”yunomi is adorned with brown hares and jasmine petals and leaves on the pale purple background.
Shinobu’s vivid works are based on her ability to observe small animals and skillful handwork.
Yunomi have matching “dora-bachi” (rimmed bowls inspired by Chinese gong called “dora”) by season.
Designs of all these items are exclusively for WISE-WISE tools.

毛並みまで緻密に再現された、生き生きしたうさぎ。
白い小さな花を咲かせるジャスミンは、夏の香りの女王とも言われる甘い香りが特徴です。
リクエストさせていただいた、淡い紫色の落ち着いた色合いは、釉薬の濃淡にも手仕事の温かみを感じます。
Shinobu has finely reproduced the details of the hares down to the coats.
Small white jasmine flowers smell like something sweet, which are often quoted as the queen of scents in summer.
We, WISE-WISE tools, requested Shinobu to color the inside of the rim with pale purple, as such soft color would highlight the warmth of her handwork.

可愛らしいサーモンピンクの優しい色合いが、“夏”の淡い紫色にも似合います。

The motifs of “spring” items are white hares and cherry blossom.
The inside of the rim is colored with soft salmon pink, which is a good combination with pale purple in “summer”.

お子さんが幼稚園に入るのを機に、作陶を精力的に始められました。ドラ鉢も、元々は子供用の食器として使っていらしたそう。

Shinobu has a small child. Her full-fledged potter’s career started when the child entered kindergarten. Dora-bachi were originally used for the child.
Dora-bachi and yunomi are Shinobu’s new seasonal series, following the long-selling works with a motif of Mt. Fuji, New Year’s items, and sake drinking vessels.
