生き生きした動物達と、季節の植物がモチーフ
生き生きした動物達と、季節の植物のモチーフが躍る佐々木忍さんのドラ鉢シリーズ。
“春”は、白うさぎと桜の柄。可愛らしいサーモンピンクの優しい色合いです。
佐々木さんらしい、動物への観察眼や、細やかな手仕事が、生き生きした作品を生み出します。
四季のドラ鉢は、お揃いの湯呑もご用意がございます。
ワイス・ワイス トゥールス別注のデザインです。
These are the items of “spring”, one of the four-season “dora-bachi” (*) series by SASAKI Shinobu, a female potter.
(*) While dora means Chinese gongs, bachi (or hachi) does bowls. As such, a dora-bachi is a rimmed bowl looking like a Chinese gong.
The inside of a “spring” dora-bacha is adorned with white hares and sakura (cherry blossoms) petals on the adorable salmon pink background.
Shinobu’s vivid works are based on her ability to observe small animals and skillful handwork.
Dora-bachi have matching “yunomi” (handleless mugs to drink Japanese tea) by season.
Designs of all these items are exclusively for WISE-WISE tools.

Shinobu has finely reproduced the details of the hares down to the coats.
Sakura is regarded as an iconic flower of Japan. It flourishes in spring, but its iconic status goes beyond the season.
Lovely sermon pink colored inside of the rim would highlight the warmth of her handwork.

落ち着いた紫の色合いが、“春”のピンク色にも似合います。

The inside of the rim is colored with pale purple, which suits sermon pink color in “spring”.

小さなお子様がいらっしゃる佐々木さん。
お子さんが幼稚園に入るのを機に、作陶を精力的に始められました。ドラ鉢も、元々は子供用の食器として使っていらしたそう。

Shinobu has a small child. Her full-fledged potter’s career started when the child entered kindergarten. Dora-bachi were originally used for the child.
Dora-bachi and yunomi are Shinobu’s new seasonal series, following the long-selling works with a motif of Mt. Fuji, New Year’s items, and sake drinking vessels.
