– はじめてお使いになる前に –
はじめにお使いになる前に、ぬるま湯に10分ほど、焼締め(釉薬のかかっていないもの)は１時間ほど水に浸してください。土を落ち着かせ、汚れの染み付きを少なくします。
久しぶりにお使いになる場合も同様です。
– 日々のお手入れ –
- ○ 毎日お使いになる中で、器は水分を含んで少しずつ強くなります。お使いになる前に、ざっとぬるま湯にくぐらせることをお勧めします。
- ○ ご使用後は、長時間水に浸したままにせず、薄めた中性洗剤またはぬるま湯でできるだけ早く洗い、十分に乾燥させてからおしまいください。
- ○ 電子レンジ、食器洗浄器のご使用はお避けください。

独特のざっくりとした土の風合いの器に、豪快な染付が映える「陶器工房 壹」壹岐 幸二さんの染付蕾唐草紋皿。
沖縄独特のざっくりとした土の風合いの器に、19世紀まで続いた伝統の色合いを表現したという白化粧。土の赤茶色がうっすらと透け、優しい風合いを生み出します。
沖縄の伝統工芸「やちむん」の流れを汲みながら、現代の息吹が吹き込まれた、日々の食卓を彩る器です。
IKI Koji’s pottery – Lineage of “Yachimun (traditional Okinawa style pottery) with the breath of contemporary culture
IKI Koji is based in Okinawa, prefecture of the south end of Japan consisting of 160 islands, and working at his own studio "Ichi (number one)".
These are plates named “sometsuke-karakusa (*) patterns”.
(*) Sometsuke is blue and white painting. Karakusa is arabesque patterns
His dynamic touch of sometsuke paintings and the earthy texture of the plates coated by special white slip, which replicates an ancient white color being used in Okinawa up to the 19th century, complement each other. Red brown earth color, which can be slightly seen through the white slip, adds some soft impression to the plates.
Although Koji’s plates are descendants of traditional “Yachimun”, he associates them, taking account of today’s lifestyle, with a sense of contemporary aesthetics.

東京ミッドタウン店で以前行った壹岐さんの展示会で好評だった、六寸・七寸・八寸の3サイズを特別にご用意いただきました。
3サイズが揃うことは滅多にないそう。お好みの大きさをお選びいただけます。
We have specially requested Koji to provide the plates in three sizes, which were all well reputed in the previous his exhibition at our shop (WISE-WISE tools), as below.
6-sun – 18.2cm or 7.16in
7-sun – 21.2cm or 8.35in
8-sun – 24.2cm or 9.54in
(“Sun” is an old measuring unit in Japan. It is still used often for traditional crafts.)
This is an unusual opportunity, as the three sizes above are hardly prepared at the same time.

沖縄に古くから伝わる絵柄に新たな感性を取り入れた鮮やかなコバルト絵が印象的です。
すっと伸びやかに筆が舞う絵付けは、壹岐さんの奥様がご担当されています。
「蕾」の部分には沖縄の海を感じる、透き通ったアクアブルーの釉薬が輝きます。
Karakusa patterns have been long used for Okinawa pottery. Koji has integrated contemporary sensibility into such traditional patterns. Vivid cobalt blue is impressive.
Koji’s wife helps him by painting lively patterns of the surface.
Using another glaze, the buds are colored in aqua blue like the seas around Okinawa islands.

組み合わせて使用するのも魅力的です。
The left one is 7-sun, while the right ones are 6-sun and 8-san.
Coordination of different sizes is recommended.

八寸サイズは深さがあるので、大人数のおかずがたっぷり入ります。六寸サイズは、取り分けた1人分にちょうど良い大きさです。
Koji’s plates may bring the breeze of Okinawa to your dining room.
They will decorate the dining table and upgrade the taste of meals.
An 8-sun plate has the depth enough to serve a dish for several people. A 6-sun plate is good for serving the portion of one person.
